This tour visits some of the wonderful, historic seaside towns of the Setouchi region in Hiroshima Prefecture. You explore the high quality sake and culture of this cradle of Japanese civilisation, where geography has had a profound effect in shaping the livelihoods of its people.

This tour is for those who want a short but immersive experience of the lesser known attractions of Setouchi.
You arrive in Hiroshima by air, rail, or bus, and check into your hotel. Dinner (not included) is at a local restaurant.
After breakfast (included), you meet your driver and board your private vehicle for the drive to the Kamotsuru Sake Brewery Museum in Saijō. Here, a master brewer takes you on a tour, explaining the history of ginjo sake that was developed in this region of Hiroshima. The visit ends with a sake tasting.
Lunch (included) is a sake hotpot at the brewery.
In the afternoon, you drive to the pretty seaside town of Tomonoura and explore at your own pace.

After breakfast (included), you drive to the Shimanami Kaidō where you visit the Innoshima Suigun Castle and Ōyamazumi Shrine. You also take a fast boat out into the racing currents of the Kurushima Strait, passing under the great suspension bridge, and visiting a shipyard.
Lunch (not included) is at a local restaurant. Ōmishima Island has a great choice of seafood and wild boar restaurants.
Your accommodation is a converted traditional Japanese home where dinner (included) is served.
After breakfast (included), you drive to the the seaside town of Onomichi where you visit Senkō-ji Park and explore the hillside alleyways dotted with temples and the retro shopping arcades.
Lunch (not included) is at a local restaurant. Why not try Onomichi ramen or Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki?
After lunch, you drive to Takehara, a town known for its sake and whiskey. You stroll the old streets at your own pace, dropping into museums and sake breweries.
